A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §48-13-805, relating to requirements for self-employed persons to participate in the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement's PayConnextion program.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §48-13-805, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 13. GUIDELINES FOR CHILD SUPPORT AWARDS.

CHILD SUPPORT ORDERS.

§48-13-805. Support payments from the self-employed.
When the payor is a person who is self-employed that payor shall utilize the PayConnextion program of the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement. Payments may be made to this program either by automatic deduction from the payor's checking account or by monthly charges to the payor's credit card. If a self-employed payor fail to make payments for sixty days, the payor shall receive a warning letter that they are in arrears. If no payment is received for ninety days, the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement may take steps to revoke the business license of the self-employed payor.


NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require self-employed persons to participate in the Bureau of Child Support Enforcement's PayConnextion program.
